The PG Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the Research and Development Cell, organized a one-day workshop on “Qualitative Research Methods” for final-year BSc Psychology students on 7th December 2024. The workshop aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of qualitative research techniques and their applications in psychology.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Sahla Abdurahman, Assistant Professor and Head in Charge of the PG Department of Psychology. Dr. Akhil R, Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator, officially inaugurated the event with an insightful speech, emphasizing the importance of qualitative research in psychological studies.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Noble Jacob, HoD of the PG Department of Commerce and Research and Development Cell Coordinator. He highlighted the role of research in academic and professional growth and encouraged students to actively engage in such initiatives.
The workshop sessions were led by Mr. Subair M and Ms. Nimitha KV, Assistant Professors at PhD Scholars Sharada University Delhi. Their interactive sessions covered key qualitative research methodologies. The facilitators also guided students through practical exercises to enhance their research skills.
