WIRAS Signs MoU with Wildlife Trust of India for Mangrove Conservation
March 21, 2025: On World Forest Day, Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies (WIRAS) signed an MoU with the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) to protect and restore mangrove forests in Kannur District.
The collaboration focuses on conservation programs, student-led plantation initiatives, and joint research projects. The MoU was inaugurated by Mr. Sajan John, Head of Marine Projects at WTI, with key addresses from experts highlighting the ecological importance of mangroves.
This partnership aims to enhance biodiversity, engage students in environmental protection, and contribute to global sustainability efforts.
