To create awareness about healthy food and dietary habits Wadihuda Crescent English School organized an infraclass Food Fest on 16th October 2019. Information corners, placards and display boards emphasized the importance of nutritious and healthy food habits. Some of the events like Salad making, cooking without fire, role play and group songs formed the focal point which carried the message of “Healthy Heart, Healthy Body”. Food outlets with a variety of mouthwatering homemade delicious dishes tempted and attracted each and every one alike. Relishing and sharing the food, reciting and singing rhymes ensured that happiness reigned. Health awareness class was conducted by Mrs.Surya from Health department , Muttom highlighted the demerits of consuming junk food, world food problem and solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty. Students understood the benefits of consuming healthy fresh food that meet the relevant food quality and safety. As part of our SEWA program, the Junior Section Grade 3 conducted ‘Canteen day.’ Students were excited to be a part of this program and enthusiastically participated. It was interesting to see the children communicate, calculate and share.
