Vilayancode: New globalization policy in the banking area has been increased which will make it intricate. T.V. Rajesh MLA has stated it in the occasion of the inauguration of the seminar on “ISLAMIC BANKING & FINANCE” conducted at Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies at Vilayancode.
Common people cannot expect much help from the new generation bank. Islamic banking has
replaced the concept and tries to make banking transaction interest free. Its importance role has been widely recognized across the world. In India, people with ulterior motives tries to suppress the interest free banking and services.
Dr.Shareeq Nizar, who is the CEO of Aasara Co-operative Credit Society, Mumbai and fellow of the University of Harvard presented a paper on ‘the progress and challenges of Islamic banking & Finance’ in India. Dr.K.V.Pavithran, the former prof., Govt.Brennen College, Thalassery presented a paper on ‘Recent trends and growth in Islamic banking and Finance’. Dr.C.P.Shaheed Ramzan, Asso.prof.dept of economics govt.college Kodancherry presented in the session a paper ‘Islamic economics for equity, justice and growth’. Dr. Muhamed K Palath, secretary, Indian Association of Islamic Economics, Kerala chapter presented paper on ‘Instruments used in Islamic banking and finance’.
The national seminar was presided over by Mr. V K Hamza Abbas,(Chairman Wadihuda Group of Institutions). Jb. S.A.P. Abdul Salam, (MD of Wadihuda Group of Institutions) felicitated on the occasion. Prof .Muhammed Iqbal (Principal of WIRAS) gave the welcome address. HOD of all the dept.of WIRAS talked on the occasion. Prof. Alikutty K, HOD Dept of Commerce,the Programme Co-ordinator gave the valedictory address.
