The PG Department of Psychology and Women Development Cell in collaboration with the Women and Child Development Department of Kannur, successfully conducted an awareness session on Women-Centric Legislation on September 6, 2024. Ms. Deepthi (5th sem bsc Psy student) had delivered the welcome speech. Ms. Arya Sukumaran (District Mission Coordinator, Kannur) had done the felicitation. The session was led by esteemed legal expert Adv. Noushad Vazhavalappil who provided valuable insights into various legal provisions safeguarding women's rights. Participants gained a deeper understanding of laws pertaining to domestic violence, sexual harassment, and so on. Through interactive discussions and case studies, Adv. Noushad Vazhavalappil empowered attendees to recognize and address gender-based discrimination, fostering a more equitable and just society. Mr. Arun ( Gender Expert ) and Ms. Shamreena ( 5th sem Bsc Psy student) had delivered the Vote of thanks.
