The PG Department of Psychology organized a thought-provoking awareness class on "Changing the Narrative" with a call to action "Start the Conversation" as part of its extension program. Held in observance of Suicide Prevention Day, the event took place at Mary Matha School, Pilathara. Two students, Mr. Rahul R (3rd semester MSc Counselling Psychology) and Ms. Afreena (3rd semester MSc Applied Psychology), played a pivotal role in making the event a success.
The awareness class aimed to educate students about the symptoms and risk factors of suicide, encouraging them to start conversations and offer support to those in need. Through interactive discussions and informative sessions, the event successfully achieved its objective, leaving a lasting impact on the participants. By organizing this event, the PG Department of Psychology demonstrated its commitment to addressing mental health concerns and promoting a supportive community.
