As part of the Lunar Day program, the Science Club successfully organized a Lunar Exhibition and Astronaut Disguise event on 7th August 2024. The event provided students with an opportunity to learn more about the significance of Lunar Day, life in space and the contributions of eminent astronauts. The day began with an inspiring morning message from Head Teacher Ajitha Ma'am and Assistant Head Teacher Samad Sir.
Dressed as astronauts, Science Club members visited all primary classes, captivating their peers with their enthusiasm. The exhibition featured a wide array of exhibits that included detailed information on the solar system, phases of the moon, lunar and solar eclipses, spacecraft, and photographs of famous astronauts. Eighth-grade students led the event, explaining complex concepts such as spacecraft operations and eclipse phenomena to the younger students in Class 5. Their well-prepared presentations and interactive sessions made the learning experience both educational and enjoyable. The event was a success, sparking curiosity and excitement about space science among the young learners.
